Learn, share and connect

During crisis periods such as the current pandemic resources are stretched and minds are focused on many other issues. This is often the kind of situations that abusers, who may be working within organisations set up to help children, see it as an opportunity to harm children.
That is why child safeguarding matters. Now more than ever.
And that is why we would like to welcome you to our biggest-ever conference, the Keeping Children Safe 2020 Summit, which this year will be online-only. Yes, it would be great to all meet up, shake hands and network face-to-face, but child safeguarding is too important to wait for the COVID-19 pandemic to go away.
World-leading speakers and expert advice
We want this conference to be relevant, cutting edge and informative. That is why we’re recruiting a wide-ranging, and highly experienced list of practitioners and experts who will be sharing their child safeguarding insights, presenting on recent research, successful programmes – as well as good practices – and giving advice on tools that can help strengthen your organisation’s safeguarding.

Holding the event online means that we will have a bigger capacity than ever before – with up to 100 world-leading child safeguarding experts presenting, and thousands of practitioners from all over the world gathering to attend the event.
Right now, we already have over 29 confirmed speakers – all leading figures in child safeguarding – with many more set to join over the coming weeks:
- Najat Maalla M’jid, Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) on Violence against Children, UN
- Dr Joan Nyanyuki, Executive Director, African Child Policy Forum
- Dr Daniela Ligiero, Executive Director & CEO, Together for Girls
- Jon Brown, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Barnado’s
- Iain Drennan, Executive Director, WePROTECT Global Alliance
- Sarah Blakemore, CEO, Keeping Children Safe
