Free a Girl is a Netherlands-based organisation dedicated to preventing and combating the sexual exploitation of children. Through its work, they support children affected by exploitation and advocate for a world where every child can grow up safe and free.

The organisation joined our Network because they know that collaboration and continuous learning can strengthen their ability to protect children: ‘Being part of the KCS community allows us to learn from others, share experiences and continuously improve our safeguarding practices’.

At the heart of Free a Girl’s work is the vision to build and sustain a strong child-safe organisational culture. Over the coming year, the team aims to further embed safeguarding into everyday decision-making, partnerships and communications.

Their message to the global community is powerful and inspiring: ‘Whether you are a staff member, partner, caregiver, donor or supporter, you play a role in creating a world where children can grow up free from harm. We continuously have to challenge ourselves to ask whether our actions truly serve the best interests of children, and contribute to their safety and wellbeing. Together, we have a responsibility to create a child-safe culture, because every child deserves the freedom to live safely and reach their full potential’.

We are delighted to welcome Free a Girl to our global Network and look forward to see the impact they continue to make in the fight against child sexual exploitation around the world.
