We are pleased to announce that Aralma has joined the KCS member network. With an intersectional, gender-sensitive and rights-based approach, Aralma has been working for over twenty years in Argentina, to defend the rights of children and adult survivors/victims of violence in their childhood.

For Aralma, ‘child safeguarding is not just a goal; it is the ethical foundation of all our work,’ its representative told KCS. The organisation aims to ensure that every action, every relationship and every institutional space is safe, restorative and respectful of children’s rights.

Aralma’s decision to join the KCS member network stems from its conviction that child safeguarding efforts must be structural, rigorous and collective. They also expressed that, ‘it is an opportunity to grow, coordinate and raise awareness of this cause at a global level’. By joining the network, they hope to strengthen the organisation’s child safeguarding measures, exchange lessons learned with other organisations and contribute by sharing their experience in Latin America.

In the coming year, Aralma intends to advance the effective implementation of its child safeguarding policy. Their goals include developing clear awareness and training tools for the team, conducting an initial risk assessment and continuing to promote an institutional culture based on care and the prevention of harm.

The organisation’s message to the community is clear: ‘Child safeguarding is not optional. It is not a symbolic gesture or superficial commitment, but a structural and urgent responsibility.’

At KCS, we are proud to welcome Aralma to our ever-growing network of organisations that are committed to child safeguarding.
