For His Children is an Ecuador-based organisation dedicated to serving children and young adults with disabilities. Upon joining the KCS Network, they expressed: ‘Safeguarding is not just a legal or administrative responsibility, it is a core expression of our mission and values. We want every member of our staff to understand their role in creating an environment where children can thrive physically, emotionally and spiritually.’
For His Children hopes that being part of our network helps them ensure that their policies, systems and staff training reflect the highest level of protection: ‘KCS’s expertise, tools and guidance will help us move forward with confidence and clarity’, their Executive Director expressed. They are driven by the deep conviction that every child and young adult in their care deserves to feel safe, valued and protected at all times.
The organisation’s key priority is cultivating a culture where safeguarding is deeply embedded in every process and interaction. Within a year, they aim to have a fully updated and aligned child protection policy, strengthened reporting mechanisms, expanded staff training and clear accountability structures across all programs. Additionally, they expect to complete their internal assessment and implement a plan to enhance their child safeguarding practices.
