Welcome FADICA

Hello to  Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities (FADICA), and welcome to our global network.

FADICA connects Catholic and faith-inspired philanthropists through a peer network and membership community. Founded in 1976, FADICA unites funders supporting and serving a vital Catholic Church, Catholic activities, and the common good/human flourishing through education, exchange, fellowship and faith, research, joint funding opportunities, and interaction with Catholic leadership.

In February 2020, FADICA launched its Safeguarding Initiative, focused on developing and sustaining safeguarding capacity and best practices among funders and their grantee partners.

The initiative provides free resources to assist funders and grantees in drafting written policy, educating staff, streamlining operations, and prioritizing safe environments within philanthropic, non-profit, and faith-based organizations.  FADICA collaborates with abuse prevention and risk management experts to provide technical webinars, staff and volunteer training opportunities, and expert consulting.

FADICA is also dedicated to centring and amplifying survivor voices, as well as survivor-led and survivor-informed solutions for abuse prevention, healing, and justice. They are based in Washington, DC, in the United States, as are the majority of the foundations and donors that comprise the FADICA network.
