Striving to champion child safeguarding in Zimbabwe and beyond: Childline Zimbabwe joins the KCS Global Network

We are delighted to announce the newest member of the Keeping Children Safe global network: Childline Zimbabwe. Childline Zimbabwe is dedicated to championing the protection of children through the provision of safe and confidential reporting and support mechanisms, to create a Zimbabwe where every child feels safe, supported and empowered.

With an established network of Drop-In Centres in all 10 provinces of the country, Childline operates the 116 Freephone Helpline, accessible from any phone on any network, anywhere in Zimbabwe. These Drop-In Centres serve as child-friendly spaces where children of all ages can receive face-to-face counselling, play and access information, advice and support.

By becoming a KCS network member, they aim to collaborate with like-minded organisations and professionals in the field of child safeguarding, share best practices, exchange knowledge and learn from the experiences of others. As a National Helpline, it recognises the significant responsibility it holds in ensuring the safety of children, both in physical and online spaces.

Together with Keeping Children Safe, Childline Zimbabwe is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and creating a safer and more supportive environment for every child in Zimbabwe.
