Welcome to Entre Amigos

We would like to greet the Association of Friends of Seville and welcome them to the KCS network of members.

The Asociación Entre Amigos de Sevilla has been working for the dignity of living conditions in the Polígono Sur of Seville. Entre Amigos has grown together with the residents of the neighbourhood, currently directing more than 20 projects in the area, among which the educational interventions with children and youth, work with families and initiatives for job training and job creation stand out in Polígono Sur.

As always, we like to post news about new members and promote the organization to the KCS network and online fans.

For María José Domínguez and Pepe Serrano, Association Between Friends of Seville:

What made you decide to join the KCS members’network?

After years of working with the EDUCO Foundation, we have worked on our Child Protection Policy. Although we have many things to improve, we believe that being in contact with KCS and other members can improve us as an organization. Our goal is to train ourselves well to be able to promote the creation or adaptation of other Child Protection Policies in our territory. We think that our neighborhood needs safe spaces for children.

What is your key driver to implement child safeguarding?

From the beginning, EDUCO has motivated, trained and supported us to create, implement and improve our own Child Protection Policy.

Where do you think your organisation will be regarding child safeguarding in a year?

We believe that we will continue to implement measures to strengthen our Child Protection Policy, and we will have taken important steps to motivate other organizations in our area to create or adapt their Child Protection Policies to international standards.

What message do you want to tell your staff, donors and the wider world?

Entre Amigos has been working for the children and families of the Polígono Sur de Sevilla for 35 years and, despite the difficulties we encounter every day, we will continue working to strengthen the structure of the entity to continue providing education and protection to children and teenagers in the area.
