Safeguarding children in digital spaces: DKMK joins the KCS global network

We wish to welcome the Association for Communication and Media Culture (DKMK) as the newest member of the Keeping Children Safe global network of members. DKMK is dedicated to improving media and communication culture and promoting media literacy among citizens.

Their mission is to champion the protection of children in Croatia through educational, research and scientific activities across various areas of society. With a focus on democratic political culture, culture and art, education, science and research, social activities and health protection. DKMK aims to empower children and youth to become aware and responsible media content users.

Their decision to join our network lies in their commitment to safeguarding children, particularly in digital spaces where risks may be less visible but equally concerning. Their aim in becoming a KCS Network member is to enhance their capacity to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ultimately creating safer environments for children both online and offline.
