Peace Matunda joins the KCS Network: nurturing children through education

We are thrilled to announce that Peace Matunda has joined the Keeping Children Safe (KCS) network. Peace Matunda, located in Tanzania, shares our unwavering commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of children.

A Holistic Approach to Education

At Peace Matunda, their approach to education goes beyond academics. They focus on nurturing a child’s mental, spiritual, physical and social needs ensure holistic development. The school’s objectives align perfectly with the United Nations’ Millennium goals. They aim to create a sense of entrepreneurship and self-empowerment among their students, fostering skills like project formulation, implementation and monitoring. They also strive to create employment opportunities in the Arusha area and develop children’s talents and creativity. They are dedicated to preserving Tanzanian culture and encouraging students to actively participate in community service, including important topics like health and hygiene and environmental conservation.

Key Driver for Child Safeguarding

Peace Matunda’s key driver in their ambition to implement child safeguarding is a profound conviction that children have the right to a safe and secure environment. They are determined to ensure that every child who comes to their facility is protected from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Their plans include intensive staff training, the development of clear child safeguarding policies and procedures, and strict adherence to these guidelines by everyone working with children. They are committed to regular monitoring, reviewing and assessment to ensure the effectiveness of their efforts and continuous improvement.

Welcome, Peace Matunda, to the Keeping Children Safe network.
